SkoolBag app users will shortly have access to SkoolBag Discover as a way to keep informed about changes to the SkoolBag platform, ensuring everyone gets the most out of SkoolBag's latest features and settings.
Updates from SkoolBag Discover will be clearly labeled as coming from SkoolBag within users’ app feed and also available within the SkoolBag Discover section of the app.
Popular Discover such as SkoolBag Family Essentials, which are not affiliated with schools will now be contained under SkoolBag Discover Content Groups.
If you have previously opted your school out of Family Essentials, your app users will not be added to the SkoolBag Discover Family Essentials Content Group, so will not see updates from Family Essentials in their Feed.
We will be gradually rolling the SkoolBag Discover to schools over the coming weeks.
SkoolBag Discover Content Categories
Using the same structure as your school’s app, SkoolBag Discover is made up of Categories for important information, and Content Groups for optional “subscription” content.
Product Updates: Information on new releases, newly supported platforms and features
App Guides: Troubleshooting, “how-to” articles and tips
Feedback: Contacting Support providing Feedback
Family Essentials by SkoolBag: Links to the Family Essentials website
SkoolBag Discover Content Groups
Family Essentials: Benefit from SkoolBag’s 2m+ strong community to access exclusive savings on your everyday family essentials (whilst raising funds for your school)
Helpful Content: Expertly curated content on important topics such as cyber-security, setting a positive environment for homework, coding and robotics, transitioning to Prep/high school etc.
Users may Unsubscribe from these Content Groups by opening the app home screen and tapping Discover > Groups > Add / remove Groups.
Why have we made these changes?
The decision to provide this service has been taken in-part thanks to the recent SkoolBag Customer Survey, where 80% of schools said they would find value in SkoolBag providing “Content for parents” on common topics such as setting a positive environment for homework, coding and robotics, transitioning to Prep/high school etc.
Whilst we believe Content Groups will be of great value to your school community, users are free to opt-out of receiving updates by unsubscribing to these groups.
