Follow these simple housekeeping tasks and ensure your app settings are spot-on for the new year.
1. Set a background image for your profile
Customise your School's Appearance on the Mobile App by setting a background image to your profile.

2. Select Content Categories to display in school’s General Tab
Update what displays on your school profile General Tab. See in the screenshot above the following Content Categories: Notices, Events, Newsletters and Contact and About us. Content Categories are the tiles available to all app users on the General Tab.
Link to Important Entries within the SkoolBag App, or link directly to other services.
Ensure you set up a Content Category for your School's Contact Details.

3. Setup Content Groups such as Year Groups, Sports Teams & Staff for the Groups Tab
Content Groups allow users to subscribe to relevant updates based on students year groups or activities to ensure you can send targeted updates to the right people, at the right time.
Download your user group information and ensure the right people are subscribed to the right groups.
Setup Groups to be Open, Closed or Hidden. Meaning they are great for delivering audience-specific information or Staff Related Communications.

4. Select which eForms to display
Match your admin workflows, like gathering permissions, to new forms to save time on data capture.
Ensure old eForms are removed from your profile.
Set a default email address to receive submissions.

5. Connect your Calendar
No need to manually enter events into SkoolBag! Use our iCal integration to sync your school events with SkoolBag.

PRO TIP: Add our example school “Mountain View Primary” to your SkoolBag App get some inspiration on how to set up your app. Simply search for the school and add it to view example Content Groups and Categories.
