With the new school year, you'll need to ensure parents are subscribed to the correct Year and Sporting Groups.
There are a number of ways to do this which we've outlined below (it's a good task for the holidays!).
Option A: Download and update the user group information
The easiest way to do this is to download your user group information and update it so that you know that the right parents are in the correct groups.
Option B: Instruct your community to add the correct groups
The easiest way to do this is to post a reminder for users to update their settings based on students' new year groups. Here's an image to go with your post, simply right-click and "Save As".
Option C: Update the name of year groups
This works well when all groups from this year will remain the same for next year. You can simply re-name the year group and users do not need to do anything.
Just ensure you let your parents know that this will happen.
PRO TIP: Create an Archive Content Group, and move content here from the previous year to re-use again for an upcoming term, rather than having to create the same content every year.
